Lynne's Bio
Lynne Gilliland Garber began her professional life trying to create change in rural villages in Latin America. Twenty years later, having gone on to work in Africa and South Asia, she established her own business to create change in individuals personal and professional lives.
Working as a coach since 2000, Lynne has supported hundreds of people in gaining confidence and tools to create lives with meaning and purpose. Lynne is a certified professional coach with a Masters Degree in International Agricultural Development. This provides her with a unique combination of skills and perspectives. Her coaching business is international in scope, with clients in the US, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. A fluent Spanish speaker, Lynne coaches in both English and Spanish.
Lynne is an active member of the International Coaching Federation where she co-leads a Special Interest Group on Social Action. She is also a founding member of the Social Action Niche Community for The Coaches Training Institute (thecoaches.com), the Coaches Alliance for Social Action (CASAnp.org) and Coaching The Global Village. Lynne teaches coaching and business courses at Howard Community College. She is a board member of the YWCA of Greater Baltimore and of the TowsonTowne Rotary. The Fresh Breeze Mindfulness Community counts her as sangha member.
Lynne lives with her husband and business partner, Ben Garber, and a cat in a cottage in the woods in Maryland.
